Monte Ale House Lager
Brewed using only finest malted barley, hops and pure spring water, this golden lager is of moderate strength and has a pleasant, slightly fruity flavour balanced by delicate late hop characters and a crisp clean bitterness in its finish.
Micro filtered, not pasteurised, which means its natural freshness is retained longer than other beers.
Stone & Wood – Pacific Ale
Light on the palate, strong on the passionfruit and tropical flavours, this beer is by far our most popular offering. If you’re yet to try it, you won’t be disappointed. It’s an easy, sessionable beer, and it embodies everything we love about the Northern Rivers.
Brewed using Australian Barley and wheat, it champions the striking and identifiable characteristics of the Galaxy hops. Pacific Ale is cloudy and golden with a big fruity aroma and a refreshing finish.
Black Hops – Pale Ale
Defined by a balance of pale malted barley and tropical hop aromas, our Pale Ale is light in colour but big in flavour. But don’t overthink it. It is what it says on the tin, a Pale Ale, the Black Hops beer for every occasion.
Black Hops – Send it
Described as a “Gold Coast inspired session ale” and it’s light colour certainly suits the pale golden beaches of Burleigh. Calypso and Citra hops bring a baseline of stonefruit and citrus to the aroma, while the addition of Riwaka from our friends across the pond gives the drinker a slightly zesty experience without overpowering the palate. With valiant mouthfeel for a 4.2% beer and a comfortably bitter and dry finish, this session ale meets the high standard that Black Hops has set for its beers.
Coopers – Session Ale
4.2% ABV – 27 IBU
For the first time in over 13 years, we’re adding a new member to the family. With a striking blue label, Coopers Session Ale is the first fresh, sessionable, fruity Ale to be added to our portfolio. Coopers Session Ale displays citrus aromas, subtle fruity overtones, mild bitterness and the estery flavours of Coopers Ale yeast and is brewed using the same secondary fermentation process as all Coopers Ales.
Young Henrys – Stayer
Soft stone fruit and lychee hop aroma, bright golden body, super refreshing with a slightly bitter finish. It;s a gentle beer for gentle people who care about having a good time whilst ensuiring that thier good times doesn;t ruin the good times of others.
Fox Hat – Strawberries & Cream
A deep pink haze with cascading microbeads of nitrogen, producing a bright white foamy head settling to a deep pink beer. You guessed it, smells like strawberries, strawberries and even more strawberries. A smooth and luscious wheat base, full on the palate with lactose for some added sweetness and to those taste buds cream.
Mountain Goat – Very Enjoyable Beer (V.E.B.)
A new modern Aussie lager.
GOAT stands apart from the rest of the herd. It’s an uncomplicated, anytime sort of beer with a Mountain Goat twist. Thanks to generous allotment of Australian Galaxy and Ella hops and a painstaking fermentation schedule we’ve landed on this clean balance lager. It’s one very enjoyable beer.
Hawkesbury – Stout
Rich roasted caramel flavours. This stout is warm and full-bodied.
4 Pines – Amber Ale
Ruby in colour, with rich copper hues. Hop driven aromas of currant and pear, rounded on the palate with a toasted malt character, light fruitiness and a balanced bitter finish
Green Beacon Windjammer
6% ABV – 60 IBU
Windjammer has a deep golden hue and is boldly bittered via early and late kettle hop injections backed up by adding even more hops during fermentation. This dry hopped ale is a standout in both it’s up front bitterness, its spicy citrus aroma and its long finish on the palette. A powerful beer originally brewed to survive the long trip from the UK to India, it is best paired with subtle foods because it will always take centre stage. A Hop driven delight that will take your breath away!.
Mountain Goat Steam Ale
4.5% ABV – 22 IBU
Our certified organic Steam Ale is a brilliant introduction to the world of craft or for those seeking a sessionable beer that is crisp, fresh and full of character.
Steam beers were originally lagers brewed at the warmer ale temperatures, aiming to deliver the best of both worlds. We decided to do our own spin by fermenting an ale yeast cooler to arrive at the same place, but via a different route. The result is a crisp, seasonable beer, fresh and full of fruity and tropical characters.
Young Henry Newtowner
4.8% ABV – 35 IBU
Young Henrys wouldn’t be what it is without Newtown. It’s our home, community and inspiration. So when the suburb celebrated its sesquicentenary and we were invited to brew a unique beer to celebrate, we jumped at the chance. The resulting beer was an Aussie Pale Ale called Newtowner. In a bit of a nod to the suburb’s past and present influences, we used a blend of English and Australian malts. Then we added three varieties of local hops to make it fun, fruity and even a little bitter – just like Newtown. This is a beer we wanted everyone in our community to enjoy, whether it was being thrown back at a gig or sipped slowly in a beer garden. The people responded and Newtowner is now a permanent part of our beer range.
Brookvale Union Ginger Beer
Spicy yet mild, dry but wet, smooth yet sharp, tight but loose – just a great tasting ginger beer!
Ballistic Driftwood Oaked XPA
5.8% ABV – 50 IBU
Things aren’t always what they seem. This fruity devil may appear straight faced but it’ll sneak up on you for all you’re worth. A dry, pale and wheat malt base sets the scene for edgy, citrus and tropical hops. Its refreshing and easy drinking nature belies the full strength. Just make sure you get home in one piece.
Do what you’re gonna do.
4.2% ABV – IBU 18
Say aloha to this fresh and fruity tropical beast! With melon and passionfruit aromas the flavours in this South Seas Yak sing out like a forest full of parakeets. New world hops nestle together to deliver a unique and refreshing island brew.
Keeping the Peace With....
Had my 3 year olds birthday dinner here. Small, modern, uncrowded bar, friendly staff and excellent food, everyone in my group was very happy with their meal. Pretty good for one chef doing it all by himself. Will drink and dine here again.
